Frequently Asked Questions
Which Business Schools Alumni are going to participate to the initiative?
The Ball is open to the Alumni of All Business Schools. Some Alumni Clubs took the lead in the organization like LBS, RSM and Vlerick, while other Clubs like Stanford, Columbia, EDHEC, Wharton, INSEAD, IE, SDA Bocconi, MIP, Chicago Booth, Harvard, LSE, IESE, ESADE, Skolkovo, HEC, IUM and ESSEC will promote it inside their Networks.
Is it necessary to have specific dancing skills to participate?
No particular skills are required. The Ball is first of all a networking initiative with live music people can dance to. For more details about the Ball's musical entertainment, check out our "Programme" page.
Is the dress code "black tie" mandatory?
The Ball is hosted at a very elegant location and shall maintain a high standard in terms of dress code and protocol. We therefore strongly encourage participants to follow the dress code (black tie for men, evening gown for the ladies). This year, our partner Eligo Milano will be providing a team of professional sartorialists for a free consultation to help you look your best for the Ball.
Can we buy tickets directly at the event?
No. We have safety regulations and organizational obligations to communicate the number of participants ahead of the event. All tickets must therefore be bought in advance of the event (see our tickets page). We highly suggest that you buy your ticket as soon as possible due to limited availability and also to benefit from our "Early Bird" promotion.
Is the initiative open only to MBA Alumni and Students?
As in all similar events also partners and friends are welcome, especially if part of the business community. The event is principally aimed at business school graduates, especially MBAs and other Masters. As such, the event's promotion has been supported by Alumni Clubs through word-of-mouth across their networks.
Who is the beneficiary of the charity initiative connected with the ball?
The Ball is a non-profit initiative. The money from sponsors and tickets is completely invested in the event. The Associazione Italiana GIST will receive all the proceedings from raffle ticket sales that will be made during the course of the Ball.
